Présentation de l'équipe

From viral molecular mechanisms to host-pathogen interactions, and from pathogenesis to ecosystems, we study various aspects of viral infections to gain a comprehensive understanding of the infectious cycle.

Our team focuses on the study of a highly pathogenic emerging zoonotic virus belonging to the Paramyxoviridae family: Nipah virus. We also use related viruses, such as measles virus and other members of the Henipavirus genus, which allow us to conduct comparative studies and develop infectious models. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has expanded these studies to include SARS-CoV-2.

Current projects combine approaches from biochemistry, structural biology, molecular biology, cellular biology, and experiments in animal models. In parallel, we are involved in the development of prophylactic and therapeutic antiviral approaches.

Overall, these efforts aim to better understand these pathogens in order to combat their associated diseases more effectively.

Keywords: emerging viral infections, innate immunity, immunopathogenesis, antivirals, Nipah, measles, COVID-19, molecular mechanisms, viral replication.
