Adding a News Item

How to make your news appear on the front page

Where to add news items?

On your team's page

In this case, go to your team's news folder and clicke on "Add new..." > "News Item"

on the intranet's general news section

If you want to share a news item relating to all of CIRI and not a particular team, go to "About us" then "News" (or click this link)

Don't forget to change the state from Private to Published

If you're still unsure about adding contents to pages you can find more details here.

How to make my news appear at the top of the home page?

On the home page, you might have noticed that a few select news item are highlighted.

If you think your news item is important enough to be highlighted on the home page, here's how:

  • First, make sure you have created your News page by following the above instructions, keep the link to this page for later
  • Prepare a lead image to illustrate your news, its dimensions should be 800 x 400 px (2:1 format)
  • Then, go to "Home" and click on the "Contents" tab

  • Open the "A la une" folder
  • Create a "link" type page

  • Finally, choose the title that will appear (make it short! we advise around 90 signs at maximum), add your image in the "lead image" section and copy-paste your news page's URL in the URL section

Don't forget to change the state from "private" to "published"

Now, your news is at the head of the CIRI's website! clicking on it will lead you directly to the corresponding page.

If you have difficulties, don't hesitate to email us at communication.ciri@inserm.fr
